What next for Thyssen Krupp?

Whilst Thyssen Krupp have ceded in the bidding war for Dofasco to Arcelor, analysts within the steel industry believe that TK still has ambitions within the North American Steel market.

With TK out of the Dofasco race, they may look to other possible targets such as AK Steel Holding Corp., the biggest U.S. maker of automotive steel, or U.S. Steel Corp., the country's largest producer, according to analysts.

Meanwhile back in Hamilton which is the base not only for Dofasco but also Stelco, there maye many hoping that interest may turn to the bankrupt steelmaker that has been the subject of controversial re-structuring plans.

Interesting times!
