MEsteel have reported that Erdermir, which up until now has been the only domestic player in the Turkish Steel Industry is to face up to five new competitors. Increased demand for flat products is accompanying the fast growing economy, and the Çolakoğlu Group is expected to start rolling within days. Another important investment in the sector came from Kibar Holding, which is currently searching for a location for a new production facility that is expected to cost $2 million.
