A recent aricle over at MEPS regarding the likely takeover of Corus by Tata Steel, goes on to observe that whilst this year has seen consolidation within the steel industry "pick up pace", the Industry is still largely fragmented.
It is in Asia, and particularly in China that large overall steel capacity is spread across a large number of producers.
