The Worldwide steel industry is undergoing something of a renaissance, and whilst the number of people employed in the industry in the West may have declined, expansion continues in the East and modern steel manufacturing techniques demand a well trained and motivated workforce. As well as engineers, operatives and metallurgists, the steel industry employs all the more general professions including marketing and sales, Information technology, human resources, etc.
As in most businesses the key asset of a steel company is it's people, and the steel industry can offer a wealth of opportunities in an increasingly international market for the right people.
