ThyssenKrupp's steel unit raises prices by up to 100 eur per tonne as of April 1

ThyssenKrupp AG's steel unit has raised steel prices by up to 100 eur per tonne effective from April 1, responding to rising raw material costs, Jost Massenberg, board member of the unit said at a steel conference in Dusseldorf.
He said the biggest German steel-maker sees positive market signals it can further raise prices effective from July 1.
Steel makers face rising raw material costs and it has been uncertain whether they can pass on these costs to their customers. In particular iron ore costs increased significantly this spring.
