Ukrainian steel makers cut output by 14% due to weak demand

 

Ukrainian Journal reported that Ukrainian steel companies reduced daily output of iron ore and steel by about 14% in September in reaction to weaker demand on world markets.
The government is yet to release official steel output statistics, but the comment may be the first indication that weaker steel prices began to affect the key sector of the Ukrainian economy.
