According to numerous sources Germany's IG Metall trade union is is braced for a series of strikes after rejecting the employers offer of a 2.1% pay offer as "insulting".
I'm not one to normally offer advise in these situations, but the union could hardly pick a worse time. In view of the market situation and planned steelwork shutdowns, the employers might see this as manna from heaven!
