Learn about Steel

I have been aware of the Steeluniversity.org site for some time now. They describe the site as follows:-

steeluniversity.org provides FREE award-winning e-learning resources on steel technologies for students and steel industry supply chain employees.

I have searched for and reviewed many sites during the years since I started Steelstrip Resources and seen them all the good, the bad and the ugly, and as a resource and learning center on steel this site "takes some beating".

steeluniversity.org is a free to use, award-winning, on-line initiative developed by the International Iron and Steel Institute. It aims to provide a comprehensive package of highly interactive, informative, innovative, integrated and sophisticated e-learning resources on steel technologies, covering all aspects of iron and steelmaking processes through to steel products, their applications and recycling.

I have often been critical of the mis-use of flash animations on websites in the past as a pointless and irritating distraction from content, but this site utilises flash technology well and the animations enhance the experience.

If you are involved in the manufacturing or processing of steel and would like to learn more about the subject, this site is the place to go. I would also add to your "bookmarks" the ever excellent Wikipedia.
