Structural Steels

Structural steels have always played an important part not only in the building industry, but in any application that demands guaranteed strengths. Over the past few years, the developement of a range of high strength low alloy steels has gone a long way to increase strengths without unduly sacrificing formability or the ease of welding. This combined with the weight saving potential of the newer micro-alloyed steels has resulted in a massive take-up of these grades by the automotive industry. We have put together a page on the Steelstrip Resources site, that hopefully will be a basic guide to the standards.
