Wickeder Westfalenstahl buys back 25.1 pct stake from ThyssenKrupp

ThyssenKrupp AG issued a statement saying that Wickeder Westfalenstahl GmbH has bought back a 25.1 pct stake from ThyssenKrupp’s Steel unit for an undisclosed amount.

ThyssenKrupp said it sold the stake as part of its ongoing effort to focus on core steel production activities.

They added that its business partnership with Wickeder Westfalenstahl will continue despite the divestiture.

The shares were transferred to Wickeder Westfalenstahl with retroactive effect to Dec 31, 2005.
