There is speculation about possible bidders for Mittal's Maryland Steel Plant. Mittal have been ordered to sell the plant by the US Justice department under antitrust laws. The recent takeover of Arcelor by Mittal created fears about competition.
Newspapers and other online sources are naming China's Wuhan Steel Corp, Ispat, Severstal, Evraz and Thyssen Krupp amongst possible bidders.
